So very tired

Euphoria ended rather abruptly mid last week, and now I’m mired in a deep lethargic morass. I don’t think I’m sick, but maybe I am. It’s bad when I’m burned out from working by the end of Monday. This is after averaging 12 hours of sleep over the weekend. I’ve lost all energy, and even my ballet motivation’s been sapped by “Beauty” injuring her ankle; trepidation for starting pointe also creeping in. Projects just keeps piling up at work. Even my reading list is getting out of control. At least I managed to finish Annotated Alice, which was pretty interesting. I can’t recall if I’ve ever read Through the Looking Glass before. My memory kind of sucks.

Goal for the week: survive and don’t lose it.

P.S. I bought a couple of dehumidifiers. I hope they work. Although it’s almost summer, so maybe we’ll just open windows instead.

Things on my mind

  • Don’t know why I’ve been so out of it the past two weeks. Too many mini-projects at work, maybe. The ulcer-like abomination is feeling better, though. Perhaps it’s stress related. I might have lost a pound or so due to the discomfort of eating. Unfortunately, it seems to be somewhat exacerbated by caffeine consumption, so maybe that’s why I’ve been out of it this week.
  • I don’t really want to do this show tomorrow. It’s weird how I don’t feel all that nervous because there’s really no consequence involved, yet I still don’t want to fuck up, which I know I will because I don’t practice. Oh well, hopefully things don’t go terribly awry.
  • Actually had a few classes where I didn’t feel like I completely failed. I could probably use a little positive momentum prior to attempts that are sure to ravage my feet. Need to do more stretching and strengthening exercises.
  • Muscles are sore. Too bad massage isn’t until Wednesday.
  • NBA regular season over. I don’t have high hopes for the Lakers this year. A lot of good teams, though, so it should be exciting to watch the playoffs. Now, if only I had a tv…

Things on my mind

  • Went to urgent care, and the doctor thinks it’s just a mild ulcer or something. It doesn’t feel like it’s inside the stomach, though. Maybe the toilsome work at the googlag is getting to me?
  • Nice weather outside, although surprisingly cold. Sunny days are always nice, as are the longer daytime hours.
  • Finally finished Apollo’s Angels. It was a pretty good read with interesting cultural history. I can finally start some of these other books that have been backlogged. Annotated Alice will probably be first.
  • Got fitted today! Surprised that the store even had anything my size. Russian Pointe RD-42-5W-2V-FM. That’s a lot of specification for a shoe. I’m totally going to break a toe. Will try to get a private lesson in to get it checked out.
