No, I’m not talking about the girl in ballet class this time. I’m talking about The Annotated Alice and The Annotated Hans Christian Andersen (published by W. W. Norton). These books are absolutely beautiful, with clear ink/typeset; nice, thick, cream-colored paper; and superb illustrations. They remind me why physical books are so awesome, and why I don’t have a kindle yet. Also, why didn’t I have these as a kid?
Barnes & Noble groupon well spent, if I do say so myself.
Because I probably would have stolen them to look at the pretty pictures…although I’m still probably going to do that =P
